What is a coach?
I am not a fan of the word coach, but it evokes certain images that are helpful. I think of my tennis coach. I think of the basketball coaches that coached my siblings. I think of my late sister when she had that role as a volleyball or softball coach. I think of my stepdad who taught me how to play basketball and softball.
I prefer the word guide. Someone who will stand near you and help you fix your posture and positioning as you learn to hold the bat. Someone who lets you fail and gently guides you to standing so you don’t have to fail (as hard) the next time.
So, that’s what I do. But I won’t coach you on basketball or softball. My skillset helps YOU be you. I help you find yourself. I help you to be well with yourself. And, I help you figure out all that technology.
We all get stuck. And, sometimes we need someone to radically listen, ask amazing questions, and hold space for our clarity.
You need it for nearly every interaction: communicating with people far away, transactions at retail stores, your job, signing up to volunteer for your kid’s school. Technology is everywhere. We live in the Age of Information. And, sometimes it’s hard. And, sometimes, it’s hard to admit it’s hard.
It’s okay. I’m here to help.
