I am sitting on the couch with an ice pack on my back. I don’t know what I did yesterday, but I strained some muscles… And, my monthly massage is two weeks away! I think that’s what they describe as “first world problems”.

So, I am on my couch, thinking about what to transcribe… I finally found the other hard drive cords… So I can get the data transferred over to the new hard drive. That means, my trusty laptop is being used. It’s been being used for 24 hours now. I think there’re three hours left of data transfer.

Tomorrow, I am attending a conference in the morning with a board member colleague. We are going to learn more about making effective nonprofit boards. Then, it’s off to parent teacher conferences for Levi. We are operating with an ADHD diagnosis. So, this will be a discussion with his main teacher and other teachers who have problems with him in their classes. I need to find a way to get the teachers to meet him halfway.

Busy weekend ahead… Another retreat Saturday morning, but this one is on intentions. It is a woman only retreat. I am excited and timid. Saturday Evening should be filled with drunken debauchery at a local bar with a local band. Then, on Sunday… My baby boy turned six years old! We are hosting his birthday party at the bowling alley, again, this year. I am shocked that we are aiming to have it teen children attend… I hope they have fun. I’m glad we only picked an hour.

Here are some recent photos of this week.

Sounds like a busy, busy weekend. Have fun though, no matter where you are in your weekend. Thanks for the Birthday wishes and let me know when Levi’s pkg arrives. Love you Mom

No Move for Us

No Move for Us

Well, we didn’t move. No move for us. We will be staying in the Pacific Northwest for an unknown amount of time. It could be the rest of the school year, and we try again in the spring, or if the kid thrives at school – we could be looking at another 4 years, minimum. Either way, right now, there is no move for us.

Summer Musings

In 2007, we looked at where we were and where we wanted to be, and we decided in 10 years, we’d move. My husband moved...

All the World’s a Stage

All the World’s a Stage

All the world’s a stage. This keeps coming up for me. When I read as a lecture during Catholic mass, but especially when I help put on an event. Each space has its directors, its producers, its actors who all play a pivotal role. Each space has its problems and everyone has to pivot. And, the thought has occurred to me – everyone should, yes, I daresay should, take some acting classes in their formative years so they can truly learn the ins and outs of “all the world’s a stage.”
