I’m sick. Again. The last 13 months have been back and forth with colds, allergies, sinus infections, and the stomach flu. Every other month is laced with antibiotics and cold medicine. It is muddling my head. I can’t even hear or read properly today. One track mind hearing and seeing some version of what was said or written!

Really, I don’t know why I haven’t seen it until now. The universe is telling me to GO BACK TO BED. So, yea, low-key night, and limited Internet is definitely in the works.

If I misheard something you said today, please forgive me. It’s this cold-thing. And, don’t worry, I won’t send out anymore emails lest I cause confusion where it isn’t intended.

So sorry hun… I bet we passed the sickness to you at the playdate… ugh. If it is the same cold, I’m so sorry. It’s no fun.

I don’t know if it’s the same or not. I’ve been sick for a few weeks now. I just attribute it to be exposed to new germs with me working and Levi at preschool! So, nothing to be sorry about!

As I sit on the plane, surrounded by the hum of the engine and the chill of the window, I can’t help but notice the person in front of me repeatedly adjusting their seat, each movement a grating assault on my laptop screen. The journey back to Portland, high above the clouds, prompts reflections on the comforts of home and the complexities of travel.
